Engineering Biology for Science and Industry: Accelerating Progress

In by Nancy J Kelley

April 17, 2015 all-day

American scientists pioneered the field of synthetic biology, and the US government funded the research that created the earliest commercial products. The frontier is still just beginning to be explored, however, and there is much to be done to assure public acceptance of the fledgling industry and to fulfill the promise of engineering biology safely and responsibly.

This invitation only meeting will explore resources and roadmaps to accelerate the development of this science and industry.

Co-sponsored by Nancy J Kelley + Associates, The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and The Alfred P Sloan Foundation
